The Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Club is located at the Shetland Hotel, Lerwick and runs from September until March each year and is open to Members and Non-members. New Members are always welcome.

The club meets fortnightly, normally on a Thursday night, and showcases traditional Accordion and Fiddle music from both local and visiting artistes and groups as well as special events such as the Pre Up Helly Aa night and a Summer Concert. An annual Tune competition is also held which is judged by a visiting artiste at the end of season.

The Club is organised by a dedicated volunteer committee and provides a club for individuals or groups with an interest in traditional Shetland and Scottish Music and boasts a membership of over 150 members which is an eclectic mix of musicians and enthusiasts of all ages.

The Club and Festival are fully supported by the National Association of Accordion and Fiddle Clubs and won the honour of being ‘club of the year’ in 2018.

The club is bound by a constitution and elects committee members at its Annual General Meeting held at the first Club Meeting of the season in September.
